Draughtsperson (Cost Estimator)

Our client who specialises in the Construction industry is looking for a Draughts person (Cost Estimator). Your roles and responsibilities will include: 

• Analysing plans, bills of quantities and other project documentation to estimate costs
• Researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• Assessing the financial, technical and operational risks of the project
• Visiting project sites to gather information;
• Staying aware of the latest construction technologies
• Keeping up to date with the latest regulatory and legislative requirements
• Working closely with key members of the project team and liaising with clients and suppliers
• Keeping detailed records and writing reports;
•  Engaging in any other task commensurate with the role.

• Candidates with knowledge of Autocad and/or Microsoft Project will be given preference
• 2 years of relevant work experience (essential)
• Good command of Microsoft Excel is being requested
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline skills
• Excellent communicated skills in English and Maltese

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent would be considered an asset
