Specialist – Contracts

We are looking for a Specialist – Contracts to work in our Sourcing and Legal Unit. S/he will be responsible for the compilation, publication, evaluation and adjudication of tenders through the electronic Public Procurement System (ePPS) and for the management of other procurement and contracting activities.
The Specialist will also provide advice and guidance on public procurement matters and ensure that MITA’s contracting policies and procedures are followed and kept up to date. The Specialist will also contribute for the Unit’s keeping up to date with procurement and contracting developments and initiatives, and to organize training to the Agency’s staff on tendering matters.
Eligible candidates must satisfy one of the following options in terms of qualifications and / or experience in either Management; or Public Administration; or Legal Studies; or ICT; or Commerce; or Economics; or Accounts; or Banking:
i) A qualification at MQF Level 7 (or higher) AND 5 years’ work experience, 3 of which must be specifically in a public procurement or Sourcing role at a leadership or executive level; OR
ii) A qualification at MQF Level 6 AND 6 years’ work experience, 3 of which must be specifically in a public procurement or Sourcing role at a leadership or executive level; OR
iii) Ten years’ work experience, 3 of which must be specifically in a public procurement or Sourcing role at a leadership or executive level.
