Malta International Airport plc is looking for dynamic individuals who are passionate about working with people within an Airport environment, and are willing to continuously learn, develop, and be part of a high-performance culture. This vacancy has arisen within the Procurement & Stores Department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential suppliers and conduct evaluations to ensure they meet MIA’s standards
  • Negotiate, prices terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best outcome for the organisation
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, communicate effectively, resolve issues, and take corrective actions when suppliers fail to meet agreed-upon standards
  • Engaging and liaising with Company departments to ensure procurement needs are met and that best procurement practices are followed
  • Analyze pricing proposals and make recommendations for cost-effective solutions
  • Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including purchase orders, and invoices
  • Generate reports to track procurement activities and expenses
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Implement best practices and industry standards to optimize procurement operations.


Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a senior role within procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of procurement software and tools
  • In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Certifications (optional but beneficial):

  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Other relevant industry certifications.

In 1958, Malta International Airport was inaugurated in Luqa. There were two floors, a single restaurant, a viewing balcony and we handled approximately 50,000 passengers in one year.
