Toly Products Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Material Coordinator to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role: 
Reporting to the Stores Team Lead, the Material Coordinator is primarily responsible for assuring the proper level of plastic raw material is staged for the molding floor as well as contributing to the accurate maintenance of raw material inventory levels and locations. In performing the above, the Material Coordinator is to assure that regrind is prepared and staged for efficient consumption.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing the production schedule for raw material requirements.
  • Properly mixing material to ensure the proper level of color concentrates, additives, and/or regrind.
  • Coordinating with the Warehouse Associate to assure the required materials are in-house and available for Production.
  • Stage appropriate amounts of the correct raw materials in accordance with the work instructions and/or any applicable documentation, completing any applicable documentation and/or entries for inventory tracking.
  • Properly handling, identifying, and storing all raw materials in the correct containers both prior to use in Production and in preparation for return to warehouse storage after the run.
  • Weigh, appropriately label/seal, and complete any documentation and/or data entry for any material being returned to the warehouse.
  • Contributing to the use of regrind by advising the Moulding Manager of any opportunities.
  • Utilizing the ERP system to evaluate material demand and supply.
  • Perform data entry in the ERP system to reflect all material moves/activities.
  • Participate in activities relating to the maintenance of accurate inventory such as routine cycle counting and physical inventories.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workplace. This includes keeping all areas such as presses, aisle ways, and the mixing areas cleaned of spilled resins.
  • Maintaining a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a professional, cooperative manner with customers, vendors, and all co-workers including subordinates, peers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Pending the production schedule and staffing, the Material Coordinator may be requested to perform other job description functions or special projects for which they are qualified.

Requirements:
  • 5 years working in a manufacturing environment preferably in the mixing of plastics.
  • Must be able to perform all communication requirements in English.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondences, and memos, as well as the ability to write correspondences as required.
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • In possession of Driving License B, preferably also C.
