Head of Procurement

Job Description
Legacy Ventures Ltd in Malta is looking for highly motivated and trusted Head of Procurement to join their team on a full-time basis and help their clients achieve the best results in finishing unique and large-scale projects. Interested candidates must be residing in Malta. Only candidates with the required skills will be considered for this position.

Job role:
The chosen candidate will work on a large portfolio of new high-end constructions and on refurbishment, modernisation, and rehabilitation projects at various job sites, for example on housing developments, public-sector construction projects, and industrial building sites.

The ideal candidate would be in charge of the following responsibilities:

• Preparation, drafting and submission of BoQs, Tenders, Contracts and relevant documentation.
• Obtaining competitive prices with particular specifications during pre-tendering procedures.
• Obtaining confirmation of acquired prices when a tender is confirmed.
• Analyse price proposals and other information to determine reasonable prices.
• Reviewing delivery requirements including obtaining respective costs.
• Dealing with orders and issuing all necessary documentation.
• Establish strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Liaising with project managers, site managers, workers, contractors, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate should preferably have the following requirements: 

• 3+ Years of experience in the local construction industry
• Previous work experience in a similar role
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Smart, motivated, and energetic with good organisational and multitasking skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Fluent in both Maltese and English language
• Possess a positive attitude toward work
• Willing to improve and develop skills
• A valid driver's license.
