Assistant Warehouse Manager

VERNONS in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

Vernons has a legacy that dates back to the 1950s and food has been our family’s passion for over 60 years. Our range includes a selection of kitchen-cupboard staples, convenience and catering brands.

A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Warehouse Manager. The selected candidate will form part of our logistics team.

Duties:

• Daily planning of delivery routes
• Managing warehouse personnel including store pickers, forklift operators, truck drivers and helpers
• Invoicing and other related office routines
• Managing all inventory received and issued
• Liaising with the purchasing department to co-ordinate all shipments
• Implementing company’s policies to maintain an organised environment
• Complying and implementing HACCP and Health & Safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year experience in a similar post
• Be physically fit and active
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Be pro-active with initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude
• Possess a driving license
• Must be fluent in English
• Willing to work independently and in a team
• Driving a forklift will be considered an asset.
