Head of Software Engineering

We are looking for a Head of Software Engineering to join our growing team at Talexio.

You will be reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer and your duties will include:

• Lead and support our technical team of software engineers
• Evaluate the performance of team members and identify key areas for improvement
• Become a go-to person for product knowledge, code, and internal systems
• Actively participate in code reviews and software development
• Ensure our architecture remains capable of supporting the functionality, reliability, security, and performance of our product as we scale up
• Build proof of concepts, prototypes, and technical explorations
• Measure system speed and oversee we’re maintaining optimal performance
• Manage an agile delivery cycle and continually stable product updates to the market
• Ensure overall quality and security of the product
• Ensure a clear strategy for the management of technical debt

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Software Development (Full-Stack)
• Previous experience in managing teams
• Extensive knowledge and experience in full-stack software development especially using Typescript, NodeJS, and React
• Ability to take the initiative and deliver
• Adopt a hands-on approach
• Well organised and team focused.

• A degree or master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field would be considered an asset.
