Team Leader

Lino Spiteri Foundation in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Team Leader to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

We are currently seeking to employ a team leader.

Salary with allowances up to € 35,600.

Job description:

The Team Leader will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations within the Corporate Relations and Profiling and Guidance Units, as well as developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives to ensure the quality of the service provision. The selected candidate is also expected to maintain familiarity with and actively participate in the foundation's broader activities, developments, and overall operations. This will ensure a cohesive approach to achieving LSF's mission.

About the Corporate Relations Unit:

The CR team, under the direction of the team leader and the Management Team, is the key to unlocking the door of employment opportunities in Malta & Gozo. The primary aim of this team is to nurture relationships with clients (enterprises) to create employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.

About the Profiling and Guidance Unit:

The PG team is the main source of initial contact and direction with clients (persons with disabilities). The PG executives assist individuals in registering for employment and guide them to receive the support level required for them to join the open labour market; they also provide further direction and guidance, as well as liaise closely and as necessary with other units to ensure the clients’ development and progression.

 Duties and Objectives

Duties and objectives include but are not limited to, the following:

• Ensure that the units assigned are operating in line with LSF's strategic and business goals and objectives
• Ensure that the units' services are directed to achieve the targets assigned in the most efficient manner.
• Provide advice, guidance, direction, and authorisation of staff with regards to plans and procedures of LSF
• Pro-actively assist management in the design of strategic/operational plans related to the Units' service provision
• Assist in the identification of Key Performance Indicators and the implementation of Key Performance Targets
• Assist management in any audits undertaken. 

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Proven record of assertive communication, problem-solving, organisational, and delegation skills
• Good command (written and spoken) of the Maltese and English languages
• A genuine interest in the sector of inclusion
• Valid driving licence and own transport.

 Desirable:

• Level 6 qualification in a relevant field
• Work experience in the social sector
• Knowledge of the UN Convention for Persons with Disability
• Knowledge of local and EU legislation in respect of persons with disabilities.
