Servicing Technician

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance & Repairs Technician to join our field service department. This practical position focuses on identifying faults, executing repairs, and commissioning a diverse range of commercial apparatus, including refrigeration units, food preparation systems, and packaging lines. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical or electrical background and feels confident operating within a busy workshop environment.

Duties and responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Analyze and implement instructions from blueprints and technical schematics with high precision.
• Inspect, evaluate, and verify the performance of commercial machinery and completed fixes.
• Handle specialized gear safely and ensure all workshop instruments are stored correctly.
• Set up, configure, and integrate industrial systems on-site.
• Inform stakeholders and team leaders regarding expected completion times for ongoing work.
• Address emergency call-outs promptly while isolating and fixing electrical faults.
• Lay down electrical wiring and connect new machinery to facility infrastructure when required.
• Document comprehensive service logs and provide updates regarding active assignments.
• Carry out routine preventative inspections and servicing to reduce operational downtime.

Prior Experience is an asset:

• Commercial cooling and catering systems
• Electrical distributions and circuits
• Control boards and electronic systems
• Wrapping and wrapping automation machinery
• Gas-powered commercial kitchen systems
• Industrial washing and drying units

Requirements

• Highly articulate in English with strong reading, writing, and speaking capabilities.
• Familiar with fundamental computer applications and data entry.
• Possess a clean and current Category B driving credentials.
