Plant Technician

We are currently seeking a diligent and skilled Plant Technician to join our Engineering team at the DoubleTree by Hilton Malta.

As a valued member of our team, the successful candidate will handle a range of maintenance tasks, promptly address guests' requests, and ensure that the hotel's plant and equipment operate at peak efficiency and appearance standards.

In this role, the Plant Technician will be responsible for routine maintenance of the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC systems, boilers, water treatment systems, and other plant equipment.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining the hotel's plant systems, performing diagnostics and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, coordinate with other departments to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues affecting hotel operations and ensuring all plant operations comply with the local and international safety standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate will be well-organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Maltese is advantageous. The candidate should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and be proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for maintenance tasks. Previous experience in a similar role is necessary.
