Maintenance Person

HireHound Recruitment in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Person to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contractor Supervision

• Oversee contractors performing on-site maintenance work, ensuring all tasks are completed to company standards
• Communicate effectively in both Maltese and English.

2. Preventive Maintenance Support

• Assist maintenance technicians with regular upkeep tasks, including gutter cleaning, care of indoor and outdoor plants, and air conditioning filter maintenance.

3. Installation Assistance

• Support the installation of appliances, equipment, pipes, fittings, and fixtures related to HVAC, water, drainage systems, and machinery.

4. General Maintenance Work

• Perform plastering, painting, and whitewashing tasks
• Carry out basic carpentry tasks as needed.

5. Workplace Organisation

• Ensure work areas and the maintenance workshop are clean, organized, and safe at all times.

6. Collaborative Planning

• Work closely with the Facilities Manager, Facilities Officer, and Maintenance Technicians to plan, schedule, and execute maintenance tasks.

7. Tool and Equipment Management

• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition and safe for use.

8. Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations and Help Desk requests, resolving issues efficiently.

9. Safety Maintenance

• Address and repair any items that pose safety hazards to building occupants, following guidance from superiors.

10. Project Execution

• Ensure maintenance projects are completed on time and to a high standard, following all relevant protocols and procedures.

11. Record Keeping

• Document all maintenance activities, findings, and completed work as per the maintenance schedule.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and safety awareness.
