Maintenance Operative

Malta International Airport plc is looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about working with people within an Airport environment, is willing to continuously learn, develop, and be part of a high-performance culture. This vacancy has arisen within Technical Facilities.

Purpose of Position:

• Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent equipment failure by cleaning media filters on air handling systems, VRVs indoor units, FCUs, HRVUs, Close Control Systems and Split type indoor units.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To carry out proper housekeeping and cleaning of technical workshops, work sites and technical sub-stores.
• To report to technical officer/ shift leader any encountered problems, deficiencies, and faults, associated with the works being carried out.
• To clean various HVAC equipment such as air handling units, a/c units and extract air systems to maximize efficiency and improve indoor air quality.
• To assist with the repairs of HVAC & applied equipment.
• To maintain records of maintenance works and inspections on the IVIVA system.
• To perform any other duties or tasks as may be designated by the shift leader/technical officer

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Completed secondary education successfully.
• Be in possession of a clean Police conduct.
• One (1) year experience in a related field of work.
• Have excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Motivation to be a part of a team.
• Should hold a valid driving license (Cars, Category B) and be willing to obtain an ADP.
• Knowledgeable or willing to learn about the Airport processes.
