We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our client's team and lead their maintenance department. The candidate will plan and supervise the maintenance work, maintain running of all plant equipment and vehicles to obtain maximum production and service efficiency, improve costs, quality and safety.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a company focused on the construction and manufacture of building materials and is based in Naxxar, Malta.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform frequency-based preventive maintenance and rectify any issues found.
Diagnose breakdown causes and repair.
Perform equipment installations and vehicles to regulatory standards.
Be involved in any project plans for the installation of new equipment.
Modify and improve equipment, plant and processes.
Calibrate instrumentation including weighing systems, flow control, level indicators.
Contribute to the development of safe systems of work ensuring that company health and safety standards are complied with, and safe working practices are always adopted.
Provide technical advice, training support and information to departmental managers, supervisors and staff.
Support the HR team to identify recruitment needs and training opportunities.
Establish goals, and procedures, and implement initiatives for overall production department success.
Work with other departments to develop production standards.
Prepare inventory analysis and procurements in relation to production operations.
Train staff for the new process implemented.
Work with technical writers to prepare client proposals.
Other jobs as necessary and related to the said position assigned by the Management of the company.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Must have a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
Good command of Maltese and English is mandatory.
Advanced knowledge of production processes and standards in the fields.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Provide quick responses to maintenance issues.
Identify problems and help improve processes.
EDUCATION
Bachelor of Engineering (Honours in Mechanical Engineering).
WORKING TIME
Monday to Friday, from 07:00 till 16:00 with one hour break.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Competitive salary.
All entitlements as per the labour law.
Summer and Christmas shutdown.
