Maintenance Assistant

AMSM is looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant on a full-time basis to support the upkeep of Company premises, facilities, equipment and cold storage systems.

Key tasks will include:

• Assisting in the upkeep, repair and maintenance of Company premises, equipment, machinery and facilities
• Supporting maintenance work on cold rooms and refrigeration chambers, including monitoring equipment and reporting faults
• Assisting in basic repair works on wood and steel, as well as paint and plastering jobs
• Supporting the team with the implementation of maintenance programmes and general upkeep activities
• Maintaining maintenance records and supporting inventory control of spare parts and materials
• Purchasing, collecting and delivering materials, spare parts and goods as required
• Supporting promotional and operational activities when required

Key Requirements and Experience needed:

• Previous experience in maintenance, HVAC, refrigeration, technical support or a similar hands-on role will be considered an asset
• Relevant technical qualifications in maintenance, HVAC, refrigeration or a related field will be considered an asset
• Driving licence
• Basic knowledge of maintenance, repair and upkeep activities
• Ability to work independently whilst also being an effective team player
• A resourceful ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
• Good communication and organisational skills

Candidates must be willing to work on Saturdays as part of the roster. In line with Company scheduling requirements, a day off during the week will be provided in lieu of the Saturday worked.
