Malta Marriott Resort & Spa

Published on 29 Feb 2024

Expired on 21 Mar 2024

Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa is currently looking to recruit a Loss Prevention Officer PT (Night Shift).

From humble beginnings, Marriott International has grown into one of the world’s largest travel companies – encompassing 30 brands in over 120 countries worldwide.

It is Marriott’s pursuit of excellence and adherence to core values that have made all this possible: putting people first, whether it is our guests or our colleagues; doing our bit to take care of our environment; operating with integrity, and being prepared to adapt to different circumstances. These are the hallmarks of a Marriott.

At Marriott, we seek people who are positive, creative, dedicated and passionate about everything they do and who are proud to be associated with one of the most recognisable hospitality brands in the world. This is where you come in to join our loss prevention team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Allow authorised persons to enter the property including searching duties, monitoring entrances and exits and assist guests with room access.
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
  • Perform security controls of designated areas on foot.
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorised removal of property is conducted within appropriate procedures.
  • Monitor security feeds and conduct daily physical hazard inspections.
  • Respond to accidents and assist guests/employees during emergency situations.
  • Defuse guest disturbances and escort individuals from the property if necessary.
  • Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and facilitate interviews with relevant parties.
  • Complete required shift reports and maintain confidentiality of all loss prevention documents.

What we’re looking for:

  • Able to work on own initiative, as well as in a team.
  • Be clean, tidy and well organised.
  • Able to communicate fluently in the Maltese and English.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A history of thriving in stressful situations.
  • A team-first attitude.
  • A gift for paying attention to the smallest details.
  • Exercise good judgment and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Able to work evening, nights and weekends on a roster basis.
