Labourer Mechanic

Our client is currently seeking a Labourer Mechanic to join their technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical labour work, particularly rust removal and surface preparation using specialised tools such as needle guns and chipping guns.

This role is ideal for a hands-on individual with experience in mechanical maintenance and surface preparation within industrial or marine environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate needle guns and chipping guns for the removal of rust, corrosion, and old paint from metal surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces for repainting or further maintenance work.
• Assist with general mechanical labour and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure proper handling and safe operation of tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures while carrying out tasks.
• Support technicians and supervisors with additional mechanical duties when required.

Requirements

• Residing in Malta
• Previous experience working as a labourer mechanic or in a similar mechanical role.
• Experience using needle guns, chipping guns, or similar surface preparation tools.
• Ability to perform manual and physically demanding work.
• Good understanding of workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic communication skills in English.
