H Operations Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit an HVAC and Kitchen Equipment Technician to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

The HVAC and Kitchen Equipment Technician is a skilled professional responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems as well as various kitchen equipment used in commercial and industrial settings. 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they cause system failures
  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities, minimizing disruptions to operations
  • Diagnose complex issues in HVAC and kitchen equipment systems and develop effective solutions
  • Perform advanced repairs on malfunctioning systems to restore optimal functionality
  • Ensure all repairs and modifications comply with safety and environmental regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacements
  • Generate detailed reports on system performance, identified issues, and actions taken
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations when handling potentially hazardous materials and equipment
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and regulations
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in HVAC and kitchen equipment technology
  • Recommend and implement equipment upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency, reliability, and energy savings
  • Provide technical support to staff, explain maintenance procedures, and offer recommendations for optimal system performance
  • Keep an organized inventory of spare parts and equipment needed for repairs and replacements
  • Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications & Assets:

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., HVAC certification, refrigeration license)
  • 3+ years experience in HVAC and kitchen equipment maintenance and repair
  • Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to HVAC and kitchen equipment
  • Flexible with the ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays in case or emergencies or planned preventive maintenance as necessary.
