Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Loader/Backfill Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of heavy machinery on construction sites, contributing to the successful completion of projects.

- Operate heavy equipment, including loaders and backfill machines, to perform excavation and material handling tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while operating machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate work activities and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and site progress.
- Assist in training new operators and providing guidance on safe operating procedures.

Essential Requirements:

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, specifically loaders and backfill machines.
- Valid operator's licence and relevant certifications for heavy machinery operation.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices in construction environments.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physically fit and capable of handling the demands of the role, including lifting and manual tasks.
