The General Maintenance Person will be responsible for carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks and repairs to ensure our premises are in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach with a can-do attitude, and a keen eye for detail. Tasks will range from general repair work to more specialised maintenance duties, depending on one’s skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be capable of performing routine building maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, painting and minor electrical works. He/She will also be responsible for carrying out minor repairs and troubleshoot issues as they arise, besides conducting inspections to identify and fix maintenance issues as they arise.
Other key responsibilities include; strict compliance with health and safety regulations; assist with renovations, refurbishments, and office/outlet setups; responds promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies; and to collaborate with contractors and oversee larger repair jobs.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must be able to provide proven work experience in general maintenance or a similar role, possesses knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry work, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, and be able to use hand and power tools safely. One must also be a good communicator, conversant in both Maltese and English and above all physically able to perform manual labour.
