A leading manufacturing organisation in Malta is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Plant Technician to support the ongoing operation, maintenance and improvement of its production facilities.
Working as part of the engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring plant machinery and electrical systems remain safe, reliable and fully operational. This role offers a varied workload involving electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, equipment installation and continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on industrial electrical systems and production equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults efficiently and implement effective repairs to minimise downtime.
- Install, commission and maintain electrical and electronic plant equipment.
- Carry out preventative maintenance schedules to maximise equipment reliability.
- Inspect and test electrical installations, identifying potential issues before they become operational problems.
- Support the servicing and maintenance of production machinery to ensure maximum plant availability.
- Assist with electrical upgrades, modifications and improvement projects.
- Provide support with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems when required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports and service documentation.
- Work closely with the wider engineering and maintenance team to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and health & safety legislation.
To be considered for this opportunity you should have:
- A minimum of Wireman Licence A (Wireman Licence B would be highly advantageous).
- Experience working as an Electrical Technician within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, fault finding and preventative maintenance.
- The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
