Feelings Enterprises Limited in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Carpenter to join their team on a full/part-time basis.
Responsibilities:
- Reading & Interpreting design plans to understand project requirements
- Measuring, cutting, shaping & assembling wood materials according to specifications
- Constructing, installing & repairing wooden structures
- Installing & repairing wooden furniture, fixtures & fittings
- Operating & maintaining a wide range of hand/power tools
- Inspecting & evaluating completed projects to ensure they meet quality standards
- Providing accurate estimates of materials, costs & time required for projects
- Adhering to building codes, safety guidelines & industry best practices
- Maintaining a clean & organised work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or in a similar woodworking role
- Proficiency in reading & interpreting design plans
- Excellent knowledge of different types of woods, their properties & best practices
- Strong skills in measuring, cutting, shaping & assembling wood materials
- Ability to operate & maintain various hand/power tools safely
- Solid understanding of building codes, safety regulations & quality standards
- Attention to detail & accuracy in workmanship
- Excellent problem-solving & troubleshooting abilities
- Effective communication & teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work in different environments & adapt to changing project requirements.
