We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Installer to assist one of our Chief Installers with furniture installations. The role revolves around delivering excellent customer service and being a positive team member.
Therefore, the primary responsibilities are likely to include the following:
To be responsible for the daily activities related to the assembly, installation, repair, and service, of both home and contract furniture according to the design and specifications of the customer;
To inspect the furniture for operability in accordance with supplier guidelines;
To load/unload furniture orders from the truck and, if necessary, to deliver items to the client's site;
To collect disposal carton boxes from clients if needed;
Attend pre-installation training/ meetings if needed;
To respect the client's surroundings, act professionally, and be mindful that you are working in their space at all times;
To accurately complete job sheets and customer satisfaction reports per each installation;
To operate safely, be aware of hazardous conditions, and report all unsafe conditions to the Head of Operation;
To communicate with clients to inform, build trust and confidence, resolve issues, and enhance their overall experience;
To do in-house alterations if needed;
To do showroom or head office maintenance if needed;
To maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
The ideal applicant should possess:
A minimum of two (2) years of previous work experience;
Physical strength;
A can-do attitude;
Problem solver;
A clean driving license;
Good communication skills;
Good command of either the Maltese or English Language.
