Assistant Field Technician

As the business continues to grow and innovate, we’re looking for a skilled Assistant Field Technician to support our Technical team.

The role

Reporting to the Field Technician, you will be:

• Supporting the servicing requests on industry machinery (both electrical and mechanical queries). This entails onsite repairs, maintenance and installations achieved through comprehending customer requirements, diagnosis of errors, test tasks and performing the appropriate recommendations.
• Assist in installing pipework for compressed air systems.
• Assisting in servicing and/or repairing our clients’ industrial compressors.
• Cooperating with the rest of the teams by sharing information across the organization and updating shared folders and other software tools.
• Ensuring accurate documentation through timely service reports, job sheets, onsite documentation and any other internal documentation as advised by management.
• Supporting in ad hoc duties as may be instructed by management.

Who you are

To fit within the AIM team, we’re looking for someone with:

• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the manufacturing or automation industry, preferrable with a focus on mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Driving licence category B.
• Electrical license A/B.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically in English.
• Proven experience in operating tools and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills.
