HireHound Recruitment in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Abseiler to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

We are seeking skilled and experienced Abseilers to perform tasks in hard-to-reach locations using rope access techniques. The ideal candidate will have expertise in high-altitude work, including building maintenance, cleaning, repairs, or inspections on tall structures. Safety is the top priority, and candidates must be well-versed in following strict safety protocols and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Rope Access and Work Execution

• Safely perform abseiling (rappelling) activities to access difficult-to-reach areas of buildings or structures.
• Conduct tasks such as window cleaning, building repairs, inspections, painting, or maintenance while suspended at heights.
• Follow job-specific work plans and meet project deadlines.

2. Safety and Compliance

• Rig and secure all rope access equipment in accordance with industry safety standards and regulations.
• Perform daily safety checks on equipment, including harnesses, ropes, carabiners, and descenders.
• Adhere to all company and regulatory safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for self and team members.

3. Inspection and Reporting

• Inspect structures for any defects or issues and report findings to supervisors or relevant personnel.
• Document work completed and submit daily reports, including any identified safety risks or maintenance needs.

4. Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with team members, supervisors, and site managers to coordinate access methods and ensure smooth project execution.
• Communicate clearly and professionally while maintaining focus during potentially hazardous operations.

5. Equipment Maintenance

• Ensure all abseiling equipment is well-maintained, regularly inspected, and properly stored after use.
• Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately.

Qualifications:

• Certification in rope access techniques (required).
• Previous experience in abseiling or rope access work (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols, hazard identification, and fall protection.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work comfortably at heights.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
