Laguna Shopping in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Sales Person / Cashier to join their team on a part-time or reduced-hours basis.

Job Description:

A sales Assistant is a Smart person who assists directly to customers.

Duties include greeting customers who enter the shop, managing the cash register via the point of sale system and helping customers find products in the shop.

The person will replenish, maintain and clean all products, shelves and displays.


  • Previous experience in a Shop environment is preferred, however not essential, as training will be provided
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with customers of diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent in communicating in English. Knowledge of German and French, though not essential, will be considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good at numbers and handling of CASH, with Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
  • Excellent Life skills of Loyalty, Honesty and Team player

What You'll Do:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Provide product knowledge and guidance to customers, helping them make informed purchasing decisions
  • Maintain a tidy and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and shelves are stocked
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and operating the point-of-sale system
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Handle customer inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.


  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required. We value a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with customers of diverse backgrounds
