To advance sales and promote the sale of the Company’s products including implementing marketing and sales strategies, work according to the Company's short and long-range objectives for sales growth and the best interests of its customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Make sure that all sales plans are in hand and adhered to
  • Secure customer orders through personal sales visits and resolve any telephone queries
  • Continually prospect for and secure new customers
  • Advising on the placement of Company products, merchandising and refrigeration equipment with outlets and responsible for ensuring the correct and effective use of this equipment
  • Check the status of debtors’ accounts daily (or as required on the relief route) and remind customers in arrears to take settlement action to clear their account
  • Obtain and deliver cheque payments to and from customers, as required
  • Respond to dissatisfied customers with prompt resolution of any product or service problems that may occur
  • Provide retail and merchandising advice to customers, including selling methods and techniques, and handling promotions
  • Ensure that all sales executed with clients do not exceed TAM, standards, age etc and that in line with the Company’s product return policy
  • Recommend to the Territory Sales Manager new product needs, merchandising and advertising requirements, and promotional strategies based on customer needs
  • Reporting of competitor activity, such as deals, new products or packages launched, new equipment used and other information he considers meaningful
  • Monitor daily all returned sales and undelivered sales and take corrective action as necessary
  • Attend individual, team, department and company meetings as advised by the respective Territory Sales Manager

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in sales
  • National Car Licence B
  • Experience in FMCG will be considered an asset
