We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. This position is responsible to assist Quality & Documentation Officer to maintain the Quality Management System, creation and maintenance of all documentation and to ensure that all are in-line with ISO 9001:2015 requirements. The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming goods and final goods pre-delivery inspection while adhering to company policies and procedures, Health & Safety, Good Engineering working principles and the relevant regulations at all times.
Key Responsibilities
1. To provide technical know-how and experience in the process of manufacturing, development of design, installation, operation, maintenance procedures and improvements of product, facilities, services/systems and equipment.
2. To report to the Quality & Documentation Officer any deviations from work procedures and take an active role in analysis, amendment and rectification of such operational deviations.
3. Keep record and track of employees’ acknowledgment and training with respect to documents issued.
4. Liaising and coordination with Mechanical/Technical designer for the creation of design related documents and their regular update.
5. Quality control of incoming goods, sampling, record keeping, reporting and liaising with suppliers with regards to compliance/acceptance/rejection/replacement of goods received and any follow up of corrective actions required
6. To regularly inform superiors of deadlines and problems and to keep them informed of developments and activities undertaken.
7. To perform any other additional duties that may arise from time to time.
8. To perform incoming Goods Inspection and to check them using appropriate methods which includes measuring dimensions, testing functionality and comparison to requested specifications.
9. To understand and analyse engineering drawings and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product.
10. To approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards & required specifications, also keep record of supplier performance (attribute chart).
11. To control and co-ordinate the final PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) and customer orders shipment packaging.
Requirements:
- Possess at least a Level 5 standard of education, ideally in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles and practices
- Familiarity with quality control tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and document defects and non-conformities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively and be highly organized, accurate and methodical in one’s work,
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as ISO is a plus
