Project Manager (Construction)

We are looking for a Project Manager to work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the achievement of the successful completion of the company’s projects in Malta and Gozo, meeting all quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Duties and Plan and execute projects in compliance with project documents, budgets, and regulations.
• Compilation of the necessary RFQs or tenders with the external Engineer for the construction and finishing of the company projects. These comprise of drawings, specifications, and ‘Bills of Quantities’ as well as an outline project plan.
• Track projects during implementation and update the project plan periodically and as required.
• Facilitate the sites with the land surveyor.
• Facilitate the site and quantity surveying functions which may be carried out by the company, contractor and / or civil engineering or finishing consultants.
• Identify energy efficiency opportunities for the projects.
• Maintain a clean environment at all the projects of the company.
• Report and address any shortcomings promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2-5 years of local experience working in a similar role.
• Preference shall be given to those with a project management qualification and project management experience in engineering services and/or construction.
• Very good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• An ability to work unsupervised and work in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in the use of Autocad, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
• Able to work flexible hours.
• A valid driving license.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Maltese is preferred
