Malta International Airport plc is looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about working within an airport environment and is willing to continuously learn, develop, and be part of a high-performance culture. This vacancy has arisen within the Technical Projects Department.

Purpose of Position:

Act as a liaison between the SkyParks 2 project team and the BREEAM assessor to ensure BREEAM criteria are integrated into the project's design and construction. Regularly collate and provide necessary evidence/information to the BREEAM assessor.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the SkyParks 2 project team and the BREEAM assessor.
  • Ensure BREEAM criteria are integrated into the project's design and construction.
  • Regularly collate and provide necessary evidence to the BREEAM assessor.
  • Familiarize with the BREEAM 2016 International New Construction scheme and SkyParks 2 BREEAM tracker.
  • Provide timely evidence to the BREEAM assessor and communicate feedback to the team.
  • Hold regular virtual meetings with the BREEAM assessor to review credit status.
  • Liaise with team members to ensure BREEAM requirements are met in design and construction phases.
  • Report issues and potential risks to the client and BREEAM assessor for corrective measures.
  • Monitor and follow up on actions highlighted in the BREEAM tracker.
  • Attend site and project team meetings to ensure compliance with BREEAM credit requirements.

 

Requirements

 Qualifications & Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Prior experience with BREEAM and understanding of the BREEAM 2016 International New Construction scheme.
  • Familiarity with construction processes and sustainable design principles.
  • Experience in managing documentation and coordinating with various specialist disciplines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management software; familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is a plus.
