Waste Management Controller

Job Description 

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Director, the Waste Management Controller supports in managing and handling the disposal and recycling waste life cycle. In this role the controller needs to be aligned with environmental regulations and holds sustainability goals at heart.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Waste management planning including identification of waste reduction and recycling;

• Ensuring that waste is tackled according to local legislation while maintaining necessary records and documentation for regulatory compliance and reporting;

• Monitoring and reporting of wastage management activities;

• Training staff on proper waste handling procedures whilst promoting awareness and education on waste reduction and recycling programs;

• Coordinate and negotiate contracts and service agreements with waste disposal and recycling vendors;

• Work towards achieving sustainability targets and certifications;

• Any other task that may arise in the running of the business that would fall under the remit of waste management.
