Technical Coordinator

Magro Brothers (Foods) Limited is currently looking to recruit a Technical Coordinator to join their team on a full-time basis.

Magro Brothers Group of Companies is a private, family-owned organization established in 1934 finding its roots in 1916 when three brothers started as general merchants and expanded their operations into food production.

On the Maltese market, it has a strong presence through its Mayor, Hanini and Three Hills brands; however, it also produces award-winning table sauces for leading International Brands in various overseas markets.

Duties and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the Technical Manager in the daily duties:

• To be responsible for the company’s labelling information and ensure that both label and nutrition information are perfectly in line with the legal requirements of the target market
• To assist the Technical Manager in the various business objectives to produce safe and legally compliant food
• To assist in developing, implementing and maintaining a Quality and Food Management system which complies with the relevant food safety standards and regulations
• To ensure that all quality procedures and documentation are kept up to date while managing the quality records process
• To assist in conducting internal audits and assist in the correction actions process when necessary
• To be a member of the customer complaints committee, take minutes, take an active role in internal investigations, and follow up of actions to be taken
• To coordinate and conduct internal and external audits together with the Technical Manager to assess compliance with quality standards
• To drive continuous improvement and instil initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturing processes, and overall efficiency.

Skills and Specifications:
This post calls for a qualified person in Management. Good communication and decision-making skills, a diligent approach, and the ability to lead effectively by example are important requisites for this post. The candidate is required to be conversant in English and be computer literate in Microsoft Office. S/He is required to be able to get results through people and capable of working within a Team. Training on Food Safety Culture will be provided by the company.
