About the Department

The FinTech Supervision Function within the Supervision Directorate of the MFSA is responsible for the supervision of the Virtual Financial Asset and Financial Institutions sectors in Malta as well as providing cross-sectoral expertise on digital finance and FinTech-related policy and supervisory initiatives. The Function is also responsible for the development and implementation of the MFSA FinTech Strategy and Regulatory Sandbox.

About the Role

You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team within the Fintech Supervision function supporting the operational aspects of the team.

You will be responsible for the general handling of administration duties including but not limited to:

  • Organising the calendar management of the function;  
  • Handling effective and efficient recordkeeping practices of the function;
  • Coordinating the internal and external communication needs of the function;
  • Organising the functions procurement needs related to training programs, development plans, travelling, stationery, etc;
  • Supporting the re-engineering and standardization of policies and procedures along with templates;
  • Keep up the organization and planning of any function events;
  • Other duties according to the exigencies as may be required.

About You

We are looking for candidates with interest in the financial services area and with a strong sense of organisation and time management skills. 

The role calls for an academic qualification in the relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 5 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.

If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least three (3) years working experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you. Candidates with longer working experience relevant to the role will be preferred.
