We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Quality Assurance & Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance & Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction in holiday rental apartments. This role involves conducting inspections, coordinating maintenance and housekeeping operations, and optimizing overall property management efficiency. The coordinator will also ensure compliance with company policies, guest expectations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Inspections

  • Conduct regular inspections of holiday rental apartments to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation meet company standards
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues, damages, or necessary repairs
  • Ensure that apartments are fully equipped and meet safety and hygiene regulations
  • Implement and maintain checklists for housekeeping and maintenance teams.

Operations & Coordination

  • Schedule and oversee housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance staff to ensure timely apartment turnover
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for inventory, repairs, and replenishments
  • Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes by liaising with guest relations team
  • Maintain stock levels of essential amenities and necessary supplies as advertised on booking platforms
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Coordinate scheduling of cleaning and laundry with third-party service provider
  • Reconcile the monthly schedules with invoicing to authorise payments
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance requests, and issue resolutions
  • Generate reports on property conditions, operational efficiency, and guest feedback
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-effective solutions.

Key Competencies & Skills:

  • Availability to work shifts that include weekends and public holidays
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, and at least another main European language is a must
  • In possession of a valid driving licence and with driving experience in Malta
  • Strong observational skills to ensure high standards in cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation
  • Ability to identify potential issues before they impact the guest experience
  • Capability to manage multiple properties and coordinate tasks efficiently
  • Ability to handle unexpected issues or guest concerns promptly
  • Capacity to implement proactive solutions for recurring quality problems
  • Strong ability to communicate with housekeeping, maintenance teams, and management
  • Ability to liaise with suppliers and external service providers professionally
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS), housekeeping apps, and reporting tools as well as proficient in using Windows Office
  • Knowledge of cleaning standards, safety regulations, and maintenance best practices
  • Understanding guest expectations and ensuring properties exceed their standards.
