Process Leader (PET plant)

A vacancy has arisen for the position of Process Leader within the Operations Department (PET) at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and motivating a multi-skilled team to ensure that daily operational schedules are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with standard operating procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and develop the team to achieve planned output and quality targets while ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety guidelines.

Monitor and review team performance, identifying areas for improvement and supporting employee development through ongoing feedback and performance reviews.

Achieve shift KPI targets and report any operational issues to management.

Troubleshoot and resolve product and plant issues, liaising with the maintenance team when necessary.

Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kaizen events, and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain clear and consistent communication between management and team members to ensure smooth and efficient shift operations.

Requirements

A Leadership or Management Diploma (MQF Level 5); candidates with a technical qualification and/or Wireman Licence A and B will be considered favourably.

3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role (preferably within a lean manufacturing setting).

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Solid understanding of quality systems and processes.

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
