Manufacturing Manager

Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) is currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Manager.

Reporting directly to the head of operations, the manufacturing manager will be responsible of driving and improving the production lines to effectively produce high quality products and the right cost. The person employed will be responsible of the production and the engineering dept, to provide a clear vision and a direction in line with company targets. The person will be responsible to set structures and employ systems to have better communication and transparency at all levels.

Tasks:

• Responsible for both Production and engineering dept.
• Driving the implementation of best manufacturing practices, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
• Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations, minimising costs where possible and ensuring the required best working practices are always maintained.
• Driving process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis.
• Ensuring that lines are kept in optimum condition by performing regular maintenance and projects in line with company direction.
• Communicating and liaising with other departments.
• Managing, coaching, and developing the manufacturing team to meet agreed objectives which deliver best results.
• Setting department objectives/KPIs and reviewing and assessing the ongoing performance of direct reports.
• Reporting on achievement of targets and identify any actions required.

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering
• Prior management or manufacturing experience is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent team-building and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional team members
• Experience in implementing Lean manufacturing techniques
