Flight Dispatcher

Small Fly Co. Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Flight Dispatcher to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Flight Dispatcher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of flights, coordinating with various departments, and providing critical support to flight crews.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and monitor flight routes, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards
• Prepare and distribute flight plans, weather information, and other essential documentation to flight crews
• Communicate with pilots and air traffic control to provide updates on flight status and any changes in conditions
• Analyze weather data and air traffic information to make informed decisions regarding flight operations
• Coordinate with ground services to ensure timely aircraft departures and arrivals
• Maintain accurate records of flight operations and communicate any discrepancies to management
• Respond to in-flight emergencies and provide support to flight crews as needed
• Stay updated on industry regulations, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, aerospace, or a related field preferred
• Certification as a Flight Dispatcher from a recognized authority
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, air traffic control procedures, and meteorology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in flight planning software and other relevant technology
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience in flight dispatching or a related field is an advantage.
