EF International Language School in Malta is looking to recruit an Activities Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

The Role:
Take overall responsibility for the full activity programme of the summer schools. From managing the full Activities Staff (which includes local and international members) to organising student parties or sports tournaments, to planning the logistics of a weekend excursion; this is a busy yet rewarding job.  Part of the role is to also recruit summer staff where interpersonal skill set is needed. Interviews are conducted either online or face to face. This role is a full-time fixed-term position.

Responsibilities:
  • Planning, contracting, and promoting activities and excursions.
  • Liaising with local suppliers and attractions.
  • Recruiting summer staff.
  • Coordinating timetables for all activity groups.
  • Monitoring activity stock levels with regular stock takes.
  • Collecting, recording, and banking income.
  • Activity Leader support includes observations, feedback, and development.
  • Delivering regular senior staff and leader briefings.
  • Collating and reviewing activities paperwork.
  • Welfare and discipline on activities and excursions.
  • Dealing with problems and emergency situations should they arise.

Candidate Profile:
Requirements:
  • Experience in event management, logistical planning, human resources, and management preferred.
  • Goes above and beyond, never settling for the status quo.
  • Maintains a balance between professionalism and fun.
  • Extremely organised and a natural leader.
  • Capable of using your own initiative.
  • Knowledge of the local area is preferred.
  • Have the right to live and work in the country of employment.
  • Complete fluency in English.
