Job Purpose:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for Valhmor, Miracle Foods and SPAR to attract potential customers and retain existing ones. The objective of the role is to manage and coordinate all marketing related matters, lead market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing products, and liaise with media organizations and advertising agencies, as necessary. The Marketing Manager should also be a leader in the marketing sector with solid business acumen since the role calls for constant networking with the senior management to determine targets, budgets and pricing strategies for various products with the goal of maximizing the organization’s profit margins. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

1 Managing all marketing activities within the Marketing Department

2 Developing a marketing strategy for the organization in line with company objectives

3 Coordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities

4 Collaborate with the Sales Department

5 Overseeing the company’s marketing budget

6 Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans

7 Planning and implementing promotional campaigns

8 Manage and improve sales lead generation campaigns

9 Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity

10 Preparing online and print marketing campaigns

11 Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications

12 Working closely with design agencies and assisting with new product launches

13 Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives

14 Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products

15 Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information

16 Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results

17 Report on return on investment and key performance metrics

18 Further develop the range of own branded products 

19 Lead all areas of content generation and production across all platforms

20 All employees are prohibited from soliciting or accepting gifts from competitors, suppliers or customers at any time of the year

21 Strict observance to company confidentiality and professionalism

22 Attends and actively participates in Management Meetings

23 Attends training programs as instructed by the company, during or outside office hours

24 Any other duties as may be requested from time to time by the General Manager

 

Job Specification:

1 Bachelor’s degree in marketing

2 3 – 4 years experience in a Marketing Environment

3 Strong analytical and project management skills

4 Self-motivated, well-organized, good communication and inter-personal skills

5 Able to work on own initiative and making decisions swiftly and confidently

6 Excellent time-management and business acumen

7 Applying a positive attitude of ‘can do’, ‘right the first time’, ‘speed’ and ‘passion’
