General Soft Drinks Co Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Market Activator / Merchandiser to join their team on a full-time basis. 

JOB OUTLINE: 
To develop the market and activate new outlets within an assigned territory while promoting company products and maximizing profit by retaining and controlling the execution of existing outlets and better activation.

TASKS:
  • To ensure merchandising standards are consequently executed to the highest level and outlet stock is managed properly.
  • To take care of accurate product placement in customers' outlets, product rotation, and product displays expanding in outlets.
  • To take part in promotional actions and activities organized by the Sales and Marketing Department.
  • To place company assets and other Company Activation material as per business needs.
  • To execute and implement all channel strategies for existing customers.
  • To identify business opportunities and discuss such opportunities with the Channel Activation Manager.
  • To visit existing outlets on regular basis strictly in accordance with the calling sequence.
  • To ensure proper activation in every outlet as directed by the Channel Activation Coordinators so to optimize sales through marketing strategies.
  • To build strong business relationships with customer.
  • To collect data/information about the market and report to the Channel Activation Coordinators. To report competition activity such as deals on packages launched, new equipment used, and other information we consider meaningful.
  • To manage the placement of assets and promotions according to Company standards, ensuring return on investment criteria.
  • To be a positive and effective member of the Activation team and strive to achieve Company objectives.
  • To perform other duties or responsibilities specified by the superior, resulting from the actual and specific requirements of the job in each location.
  • Respond to dissatisfied customers with prompt resolution of any product or service problems that may occur.
  • To handle damages as per company procedures.
  • To collect data on the stock in outlets when required and instructed by the Channel Activation Coordinator.
  • To support the Sales team with the coordination and monitoring of PICOS and Must Stock Lists.


SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Computer-literate.
  • Fluency in English and Maltese.
  • Valid Driving License in Category B.
  • Applicants must be in possession of own vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
  • Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred.
  • Outgoing and pleasant disposition.
