Mallard Co. Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Director of Sales and Marketing to join their team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
Maximize hotels revenues by developing programs to increase occupancy and profitable use of the accommodation, leisure facilities, and banqueting rooms
Liaise with the General Manager in adopting price strategies across the hotel
Build on and develop relationships with our current clients
Analyze current markets and identify new markets and potential clients
Organize and conduct hotel visits
Manage the Hotel’s website
Develop and agree on departmental sales plans and communicate them clearly to all parties
Possess a clear understanding of the hotels business strategies then set goals and determine action plans to meet those goals
Manage all promotional material, design, and print and ensure that it is in line with the company branding
Manage guest database
Represent the hotel at consumer trade fairs, mall promotions, and tourism events at both local and national level
Successfully promoting and managing the brand
Attending all department and hotel meetings as necessary
Overseeing budgets for advertising, marketing, and promotions
Monitoring competition
Generating new ideas for customer incentives and accommodation or business packages and other sales and marketing duties.
Submit weekly sales and marketing activity reports to the General Manager and Directors.
Your Team:
Lead and develop your Sales and Marketing Team by proactively coaching and mentoring team members
Conduct weekly snapshot meetings with your team and update on activity plans for the weeks ahead
Monitor the progress of your sales team through weekly activity reports
Encourage positive working relations with all departments by regular communication feedback.
What are we looking for:
At least 2 years plus experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
Commercially focused, can analyze market data and be results-driven
Ambitious, creative, and the ability to influence decisions
High level of customer focus and understanding.
