Syrup Product Specialist

Our Client, one of the leading companies in Malta, would like to engage a Syrup Product Specialist. Reporting to the Production Executive, the role involves overseeing the Syrup room and producing syrup batches in line with quality specifications, as well as operating and managing the Water Treatment Equipment to ensure the provision of treated water that meets quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing simple syrup batches as per production requirements and coordinating with QA Analysts for release.
• Mixing syrups according to product specifications and coordinating with QA Analysts for release.
• Coordinating start-ups and end-of-production in soft drinks, PET, and keg lines with the Technical Process Leader.
• Maintaining the Syrup Room and Sugar Silo following established GMPs, housekeeping, and security regulations.
• Conducting routine maintenance tasks on Syrup Room equipment, such as filter cleaning and O-ring replacement.
• Ensuring accurate completion of all required forms and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Inspecting process equipment according to weekly log sheets and interpreting readings from instruments.
• Collecting water samples and conducting tests to monitor chemical feeds and equipment performance.
• Maintaining records, reports, and logs of operations.

Working Hours: 

• 0600hrs - 1400hrs,
• 1400hrs - 2200hrs,
• 2200hrs - 0600hrs.

• Capable of manual lifting and possessing a strong desire to learn.
• Excellent level of written and verbal Maltese and English.
• Capable of conducting thorough quality checks and demonstrating a methodical approach.

• An 'O' Level in Chemistry and Biology would be considered an asset
