Machine operator (production)

One of our clients in the Production manufacturing company is looking for someone to join their team. If you are interested and you have the experience, the job description is below.

Duties and responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Accurately set up, adjust, and run corrugator production machines including the starch system, single facer, and double backer to safely create high-quality products.  
• Prepare and line up paper rolls, add reinforcing tapes or strings when needed, and properly tag and store any leftover rolls. 
• Support the machine team and the single facer operator, help out whenever the machine stops working, and follow the daily production schedule while reporting any issues to your supervisor.   
• Perform necessary machine adjustments, and fix basic troubleshooting issues.  
• Fill out all everyday production, machine status, safety, and quality records accurately and on time.  
• Keep your work area and the machine clean and organized, help the maintenance team with minor upkeep, and turn in repair orders when needed.  

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year working in a factory or production setting.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging industry being an asset.
• operating forklifts to load and move materials; a forklift certification is considered an asset.  
• A strong commitment to health and safety regulations, clean workspaces, and the company values of respect, honesty, and excellence.  
• Reliable, organized, and problem-solving approach to work with a strong attention to detail and quality.  
• Good command of the English language, effective teamwork skills, and a willingness to learn, attend training, and share knowledge with teammates.  
• Basic computer literacy to complete accurate records and documentation.
