Labourer

Responsibilities 

Labourer will be responsible for assisting in assembling structures or sheet metal products, performing any of the duties listed under.

Duties

• Perform all duties assigned by the Foreman.

• Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials.

• Clean machines and immediate work areas.

• Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers.

• Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.

• Read and interpret work orders and drawing.

• Operate cutting saws to cut various metals, and weld and grind fabricated structures.

• Must be able to operate a overhead crane and other equipment used to move or place equipment as required.

• Other duties as assigned.

Experience

• LABOURER, HELPER.

• Manoeuvre around machine, includes but may not be limited to standing, bending, stretching and walking.

Skills

• Attention to detail, highly organized and the ability to work on own initiative and in a team;

• Good communication in English language
