Junior Legal Counsel

Our client, a leading transportation provider here in Malta, is recruiting for a Junior Legal Counsel to join their growing team, reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel.

This role is open for Junior candidates who are finalizing their studies and could start on Part-time and progress to full-time upon obtaining their Master's degree.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Legal team with daily tasks.
• Conduct necessary legal research.
• Track and analyze new laws and case law developments.
• Prepare legal documentation and draft agreements.
• Assist with GDPR-related matters, including maintaining ROPA documentation, reviewing privacy policies, and assessing company processes for compliance.
• Communicate with external law firms on case strategies and seek legal opinions and advice.
• Assist with corporate governance matters, including drafting shareholder and Board of Directors resolutions, amending M&As, and managing registrations with the Malta Business Registry.
• Monitor and advise on legal proceedings before courts, authorities, and governmental agencies.
• Communicate with various teams and stakeholders across the business.
• Maintain and organize the legal filing system.
• Develop expertise in transport, employment, commercial, competition, and corporate legal matters, among others.

• Excellent writing and communication skills in both Maltese and English.
• 1-year legal intern experience is considered an asset.
• Meticulous and organized

• Fresh graduates in Master's in Advocacy or at their final stages of their Master's Degree
