Junior Legal Counsel

FBM Limited in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Junior Legal Counsel to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

The Junior Legal Counsel plays a crucial role in supporting the Legal Department by assisting with legal research, document preparation, and the provision of legal advice across various domains including commercial, corporate, data protection, employment, gaming, Intellectual Property, and compliance. 

Your role:

• Assist in providing legal advice and support on a variety of legal activities including but not limited to commercial transactions, corporate governance, data protection, employment law, gaming regulations, Intellectual Property, and compliance issues
• Help in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including corporate documents, resolutions, NDAs, POAs, letters, various types of agreements, amendments, terminations, documents concerning Intellectual Property registration, office actions, etc
• Organize, analyse, cross-check and validate the information in the documents
• Support in organizing and maintaining documentation, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of information
• Contribute to GDPR/privacy compliance, due diligence processes, and regulatory compliance efforts
• Assist in the monitoring of Intellectual Property registrations and manage the company’s IP portfolio to ensure protection
• Schedule and control deadlines
• Participate in legal projects under the guidance of senior legal staff, providing support as needed
• Engage with external legal service providers, including notaries and law firms, to facilitate legal processes. 

Who you are:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required  
• A basic understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, and other related matters
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required
• Familiarity with corporate documentation and a keen interest in developing legal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools
• Education: Law Degree or related field required.
