IRIS THAUMAS Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Associate to join their client's team on a full-time basis.
About the client:
Our client is a boutique law firm with a practice focused on commercial transactions, commercial and civil litigation and financial regulatory consulting and is located in Valletta, Malta.

Job Role:
We are looking for to recruit an associate to join our client's commercial and civil litigation practice.
Responsibilities:
- Representing the clients of the firm in Maltese courts, tribunals and arbitration centres
- Drafting court applications/submissions
- Developing litigation strategies
- Managing their client cases from start to finish
- Gathering evidence for court cases
- Updating and consulting with senior associates/partners
- Drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements
- Supervising legal trainees from time to time
- Provide legal advice to their clients of the firm (mainly on aspects of real estate, intellectual property, employment, EU, civil and commercial law)
- Advising and communicating/meeting with the clients of the firm
- Supporting the firm in business development.
Requirements:
- Ideally 2 years of relevant experience
- Be admitted to the Maltese Bar
- An interest in civil and commercial law, intellectual property and EU law
- Very good command of the English and Maltese language
- A Degree in Law.
