Commercial Lines Underwriter
- Offer expert guidance and assistance to customers, intermediaries, and colleagues as required.
- Review and approve commercial insurance policies, ensuring they meet company guidelines and standards.
- Evaluate risks tied to commercial insurance products, keeping industry standards and regulatory requirements in mind.
- Partner with internal underwriting teams to enhance communication, address queries, and build strong internal partnerships.
- Ensure all underwriting activities are compliant with insurance regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Deliver exceptional service across various distribution channels with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Maltese.
- A flexible team player with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional certifications in insurance at or above the Diploma in Insurance (Dip CII) level are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, Finance, Risk, or a related field is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in the local insurance industry, with a minimum of 2 years focused on commercial lines products.
