As a key member of the Xara family, you will play a vital role in ensuring our hotel maintains its reputation as an outstanding place to work and visit and make the journey of our employees a memorable experience
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for hospitality and a proven track record in managing HR functions and payroll operations.
The keys tasks you will carry out:
- Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the hotel’s goals and promote a positive work culture.
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions with professionalism and fairness.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Partner with hotel management to align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Facilitate internal communications and promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Manage payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate compensation for all hotel employees and adhere to month end payroll closing schedule.
- Arrange year-end and other annual statutory reports
- Liaise with auditors and provide requested documents
- Reconcile contractors accounts
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and from other departments
Your skills, experience and qualifications:
- A passion for people and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A minimum of 3 years of HR and payroll management experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems (Shireburn and T&A experience desired)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
