We are looking for a HR & Payroll Clerk to assist in managing our client's day-to-day HR and Payroll requirements. S/he will be responsible for assisting the HR department in human resources related activities within the workplace. The selected person will be responsible for assisting with clerical duties related to payroll, personnel information, and employee documentation. 
 
 
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a company focused on the construction and manufacture of building materials and is based in Naxxar, Malta.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in the preparation commitment to perform all job responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy of the company. Honest, ethical, professional behaviour is a condition of employment.
  • Maintain and analyse HR system to include input and upkeep of new starters, leavers, policies, salaries, handbooks and similar of new employee orientation packets to ensure new employees receive all necessary information.
  • Assists, as needed, with entering personnel data into Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and handles follow-ups as necessary.
  • Assists, as needed, with entering terminated employee data is removed from appropriate HRIS records.
  • Assist with employee activities as needed.
  • Upkeep of various spreadsheets in Excel.
  • Assisting in payroll preparation.
  • Store, copy, and scan employee information.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Basic knowledge of labour legislation.
 
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • A minimum of 1 year experience.
  • Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Attention to detail, highly organized and the ability to work on own initiative and in a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in Maltese & English.
  • Motivated to continuously grow in a team of professionals.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills.
  • A great sense of humour, personal confidence and an enjoyment of working in a collaborative environment.
 
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent required, BA/BS preferred.
 
WORKING TIME
Monday to Friday, from 07:00 till 16:00 with one hour break.
