Our client is looking to employ a Head of HR. The Head of HR supervises all HR functions, including job design, talent acquisition, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, development, and compensation and benefits. They also fulfill various tasks as required by the company.

  • Develop, implement, and uphold HR strategies and initiatives in alignment with the business strategy.
  • Support current and future business requirements by nurturing, engaging, motivating, and retaining talent across various levels.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
  • Lead performance management, including scheduling appraisals and managing performance improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with the financial controller on payroll preparation and administering remuneration packages, bonuses, and benefits.
  • Coordinate with senior management to assess training needs, arrange training, and manage training records.
  • Work closely with the CEO and managers on operational issues.
  • Provide HR metrics reports to management as needed.
  • Ensure legal compliance in all HR activities.
  • Partner with marketing to bolster employer branding efforts.
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee-related matters.
  • Foster a positive work environment that reflects the firm's corporate values.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership abilities, combining a people-centric approach with a focus on achieving results.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including active listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in building and managing interpersonal relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Human Resources metrics.
  • Capability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Education and Experience
  • Degree in Human Resources.
  • At least 5 years’ working experience as HR Manager.
  • Understanding of Maltese Employment law and best HR practices.
  • Familiarity with Talexio would be advantageous.
